Installing RaspberryPi Desktop on Acer AspireOne Intel Atom Laptop
Raspberry Pi Desktop on an Intel Atom N270 Acer One Laptop I was recently given an Acer Aspire One laptop with Windows XP with 1 GB RAM and 160 GB hard drive with a 1024 by 600 pixel display. I thought it would be interesting to try and refurbish it with a RaspberryPi desktop for PC, which I downloaded from: Raspberry Pi Desktop for PC and Macdesktop/ The downloaded filename is 2021-01-11-raspios-buster-i386.iso which is a 32 bit OS that could be installed on the Aspire One. The Aspire One had a limited legacy BIOS that allowed booting from the USB ports but did not allow me to create a backup image using Clonezilla or Macrium Reflect. Perhaps it was the operator's fault. I gave up after spending a day trying. I used Rufus to enable the raspios iso to boot off my USB.
